How Woman’s Day finds the best Petstock discount codes and deals
Our dedicated deals team have years of experience and eagle-eyes for the best bargains. So we regularly check the Petstock website, social media and even their catalogue to find the most valuable and relevant coupon codes and deals. We also test them before adding them here, and remove expired ones so you don’t end up with a dud at the checkout.
How to double-dip on benefits with Petstock Rewards and Everyday Rewards
Petstock’s loyalty program is free to join – you basically just need an account on the site – and earns you Pet Cash on selected products, with values from 10c to $20. You can then use the Pet Cash you’ve earned to save on your next shop.
Alongside this, Petstock has also partnered with Woolworths’ Everyday Rewards program. So you’ll earn 1 Everyday Rewards point per $1 spent on products you purchase at Petstock. Plus bonus offers from time to time.
While you can’t redeem Everyday Rewards at Petstock, it can help you get $10 off your shop at Woolies, BWS or another partner store more quickly. So it’s pretty much win-win.
Does Petstock price match?
Yes, Petstock’s Smart Price Guarantee means if you see a product for less at an Australian competitor, you can get it at the same price at Petstock. You’ll need to show proof (like a screenshot or web link), and it has to be the exact same brand, model, colour and quality. But what’s great is they offer price-matching both in-store and online. Check the Petstock website for full details.
More ways to get value at Petstock
- Autoship: Great if you’ve found the purr-fect (or paw-fect) food for your cat, dog or other pet, Autoship lets you set up a recurring order and save up to 15% on the full price. You can also edit the schedule and pause it whenever you want.
- Free shipping: Petstock offers free shipping for orders over $25, which is pretty easy to spend when you’re buying food, toys or healthcare essentials.
- Free health checks: Petstock vets offer health checks for puppies and kittens under 16 weeks, as well as nurse dental and weight checks at no cost.
To keep fish happy, you’ll need to ensure they have a clean and comfortable home… You’ll need to test the water quality regularly, which can be done at home with a kit. Petstock also has a water testing service, so you can bring a sample from your tank into the store to have it checked.

Does Woolworths own Petstock?
Woolworths Group has a 55% controlling stake in parent company Petstock Group, but the remaining 45% stake is still held by the Petstock’s founders, the Young family. In fact, co-founder Shane Young is Petstock Group’s CEO.
Petstock also operates independently of Woolworths, whose 55% stake was finalised in December 2023. When the deal was first announced, Shane Young said in a statement: “This is a unique opportunity to partner with Woolworths Group to continue to grow and strengthen the business we founded in Ballarat just over 30 years ago.”
So, the Petstock story actually starts in regional Victoria in 1991, when the Young Family bought Ballarat Produce. With their family values and a passion for pets, brothers David and Shane Young nurtured the business and the Petstock brand was officially born in 2002.
It’s now one of Australia’s biggest names in pet care, with over 140 stores offering everything from premium pet food to grooming, vet services and pet adoption resources. Then there’s the Petstock Foundation, which supports charities and rescue groups including Guide Dogs Australia, Assistance Dogs, Make-A-Wish Australia and MacKillop Family Services. It also hosts annual fundraising events like Petstock National Adoption Day and National Pet Adoption Month, which we spoke to ambassador and former Bachelor star Laura Byrne about earlier this year.
The kids love having animals and I think it gives them such a good sense of responsibility as they help to take care of them… There are so many pets that need a loving home and I think there is a deep sense of appreciation and love that comes from adopting a rescue animal rather than “buying” an animal.

Now backed by Woolworths Group’s majority stake, Petstock continues to compete with retail giants like Petbarn, Budget Pet Products and even Bunnings Warehouse, who leapt into the pet care category in 2023. But beyond the corporate politics, this can be good news for you and anyone else with a pet, because more competition usually means better deals. And we’ve got our eye on them for you.
