Jamie and Dave captured our attention from the very beginning and had quite the journey on Married At First Sight Australia.
Whilst the pair chose to commit to one another at final vows, at the reunion Jamie and Dave revealed they were no longer together.
“After final vows, it became quite clear that Dave wasn’t quite into me,” Jamie had shared.
“We only broke up a week ago… I broke up with Dave technically. I had to push for the breakup – he never told me how he was feeling,” she continued.
Dave commented, “I was sad to let it go but Jamie and I have such a good bond and so much respect still for each other. Jamie and I both knew in which direction it was heading.”

At final vows, we saw the pair doting over one another, sharing heart-felt words of admiration.
“Jamie, the moment I saw you walking down the aisle my heart jumped out of my chest,” Dave began.
“Through all of this, you’ve become one of the closest people to me in my life, I came here looking for something that could last, something worth holding on to and with you, I believe that’s possible, so today I choose us.
“Whatever comes next, I’m ready if you are,” Dave finished.
Jamie began her vows with uncertainty, sharing her hurt on finding out Dave’s feelings were not progressing, “I questioned my relationship, you as a person and even myself.”
“I deserve to be loved Dave and I just don’t know if I’m willing to wait to see if you can get there too”, she continued.
“I also know that I’m not ready to walk away from this or from you. So yes, I do want to take this relationship to beyond the experiment because I don’t think it’s the end of our story.
“In fact it may just be the beginning.” Jamie finished.
The pair have spoken to Nine Entertainment, with Dave sharing, “The bond Jamie and I have is super special and super respectful. Final Vows is exactly how I felt, and it was super, super special to keep us alive.”
“I love who she is, and I love the way she holds herself,” Dave continued.

Being 6ft6” and covered in tattoos, Dave is often misjudged – but this gentle giant has a soft side! Dave is a 36-year-old Builder from Victoria who has been matched with 28-year-old Account Manager, Jamie also from Victoria.
Walking down the aisle to meet her husband-to-be, Jamie began swooning over Dave’s neck tattoos before he even turned around.
“Sold!” Jamie said.
Jamie wasn’t the only one swooning, as Dave complimented her eyes, energy and her fluorescent nails.
Their connection continued into the reception and no topic was off-limits as they even agreed on the number of children they wanted – “two boys and one girl.”
The pair were a match made in heaven, and the only emotional part of the wedding was Dave’s speech. Unfortunately, Dave’s step-mother and dad couldn’t attend the ceremony given he was undergoing his fourth round of chemotherapy.

“With my dad not being here today, I realise how important he is,” Dave’s speech began. “Dad means the world to me. He has raised me to be this big, kind, gentleman he is today.”
Their connection continued to grow over the honeymoon, moving in together and their very first dinner party where Jamie wasn’t afraid to cause conflict with Tim.
During the first challenge, Jamie and Dave experienced a little green-eyed jealousy as they were asked to discuss their ex relationships, to which was of no interest to either parties.
“You care, that means you care about me,” Jamie said, while Dave got all flustered.

While he never confessed his feelings for her, Dave admitted to the camera crew: “I really like her, she makes me laugh, she keeps me on my toes… she’s everything. Don’t tell her I said this.”
But since then, it seems Dave’s feelings for Jamie have halted. During the Couple’s Retreat, Jamie revealed she said those three words, ‘I love you’ to Dave, however, he didn’t return the sentiment.
“This experiment, we’ve really done it properly, we have. And you can do it properly and not fall in love,” Dave said in the following commitment ceremony.
During Couple Swap Week, Jamie’s anxiety regarding her relationship’s progression deepened as Adrian questioned Dave’s feelings given he wouldn’t initiate physical intimacy.

After dodging Jamie’s questions regarding his true feelings, Dave eventually agreed he wasn’t in the love stage.
“I’m not there yet. You said you love me six weeks into this, I’m not there yet,” he said.
Following this admission, Jamie confided in the camera crew, saying: “This is the first time in the experiment where I’ve questioned whether Dave and I will work. We might not be able to come back from that.”
