On 28 June 2024, Lady Louise Windsor was seen attending the Sandringham Horse Driving Trials in Norfolk with Felix da Silva-Clamp by her side. The pair were photographed smiling and enjoying each other’s company, sparking growing speculation about their close bond.

Lady Louise, who was competing in the event, had Felix join her for a ride as he hopped onto the back of her carriage.

Observers were quick to note the pair’s chemistry, with one onlooker saying they “seemed very comfortable together. They were chatting and looking at each other all the way around. They went for a couple of walks together in between her two events as well, they are clearly very close.”

Adding to the intrigue, Felix arrived at the event with Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, who reportedly drove him there. “Felix and the Duchess looked very at ease with each other,” the onlooker added. “They arrived just ten minutes before Louise’s first event and watched her eagerly.”

Exactly one year later, the pair were seen again at the same event – this time appearing even more relaxed and familiar in each other’s company. Felix was also spotted laughing with Louise’s mother, suggesting a growing ease with the family.

Felix and Lady Louise are both students at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, where Louise is studying English Literature. It’s understood that the two met on campus, and photos of them attending a student party together have circulated on social media.

Their friendship reportedly blossomed through a shared love of theatre. In 2024, they performed together in a student production titled Dragon Fever at the university’s Byre Theatre. The play was described as “an ambitious cross between an Agatha Christie mystery and Tolkien’s The Hobbit.”

Lady Louise took on the role of Nilvana, a “powerful and cynical witch,” while Felix played Mr Owl.

Though based in Scotland now, Felix also has ties to Australia. He attended Melbourne Grammar School from 2017 to 2022, and his mother currently lives in Melbourne – leading to speculation that he may be half-Australian.

In addition to his studies, Felix works part-time as a gelato artist at Jannetta’s Gelateria, a popular ice cream shop in St Andrews.

Notably, St Andrew’s is also the same university where William, Prince of Wales and Catherine, Princess of Wales’ relationship first began in the early 2000s. Could another royal love story be unfolding on the premises?
