Planning your perfect race day look? You’re not the only one! Before hitting the shops, here’s a quick refresher on spring racing fashion etiquette.
Use your intuition
If that low-cut dress feels a little bit too revealing or that hemline seems risky, chances are it’s probably not the right look for you. Whilst dress codes have become less strict over time, flashing too much flesh is still considered a big no-no.
A headpiece makes a look
If in doubt, add a hat, fascinator or headpiece. Headwear is actively encouraged at all race days so don’t be shy; when you get trackside and realise everyone is wearing a fascinator, you’ll kick yourself that you’re not too.
Choose shoes wisely
We can’t stress this enough: opt for comfort. Flat sandals and kitten heels are on-trend this season and make stylish options for all-day wear. But if you are adamant on heels, wedges or block heels are best for the races.
Still not sure where to start? We’ve hit the shops to bring you the most flattering racewear edit ever. From plus-size dresses and Mary Poppins-style bags, you’ll be ready for the track in no time!
